Does Gortex or any other modern lightweight material actually remain waterproof and keep you dry even after several hours in the pouring rain?
Does Gortex loose it’s ability to repel water after it ages?
I live in a commercial fishing town and I’ve noticed all the professional fishermen still wear the old-fashioned rubber rain suits. Makes me wonder(?).
